Dual magnetic mass of a hot quark-gluon plasma.

چکیده
The dual magnetic mass of a hot quark-gluon plasma is computed in the lowest order of dual QCD, which predicts a well-defined (dual) gauge-invariant result for it. This is because, in dual QCD, electricity and magnetism are interchanged, so magnetic calculations in dual QCD are easy if the corresponding electric ones in ordinary QCD are easy, and vice versa. We obtain the (leading-order) numerical result m mag= ( tr) 1 12gT for the dual magnetic mass, where g is the dual (color-magnetic) coupling constant.

Modeling Magnetic Field in Heavy ion Collisions Using Two Different Nuclear Charge Density Distributions
By studying the properties of matter during heavy-ion collisions, a better understanding of the Quark-Gluon plasma is possible. One of the main areas of this study is the calculation of the magnetic field, particularly how the values of conductivity affects this field and how the field strength changes with proper time. In matching the theoretical calculations with results obtained in lab, two diffe...
متن کاملDynamical Screening and Radiative Parton Energy Loss in a Quark-gluon Plasma
Dynamical screening in the magnetic part of the one-gluon exchange interaction is included in the study of radiative energy loss of a fast parton propagating inside a quark-gluon plasma. As a result the final radiative energy loss is about twice as large as when only the electric part of one-gluon exchange interaction is considered. A non-perturbative magnetic screening mass is also used in the...

We calculate electric and magnetic masses of gluons between T = Tc and 6Tc using lattice QCD (quantum chromodynamics) in the quench approximation for color SU (3). We find that magnetic mass has finite values in this region, and the temperature dependence of the electric mass is consistent with that determined using the hard-thermal-loop perturbation. The hard-thermal-loop resummation improves ...
متن کاملJ/q/SUPPRESSION BY QUARK-GLUON PLASMA FORMATION ~
If high energy heavy ion collisions lead to the formation of a hot quark-gluon plasma, then colour screening prevents ce binding in the deconfined interior of the interaction region. To study this effect, the temperature dependence of the screening radius, as obtained from lattice QCD, is compared with the J/~' radius calculated in charmonium models. The feasibility to detect this effect clearl...
